World War II United States

1/6 Scale

The U.S. G.I. undoubtedly made the difference between victory or defeat of the Allied cause.  Better equipped than any other soldier, he has often been unjustly criticized as preferring to hide behind superior firepower.  His tradition of valor would begin with 2LTs Walker and Taylor getting seven confirmed kills between them at Pearl Harbor.  This was done with inferior aircraft against overwhelming numbers.  The Marine defense of Wake Island, the Army's struggle in Bataan and the Navy's victory at Midway were likewise done against a vastly superior enemy.  Guadacanal, Schwienfert, Anzio, Omaha Beach, Ardennes and Iwo Jima are just a few of many examples of how much heart the American really had.
