Description

Eastern Front covers the most intensive conflict in history, the titanic struggle of the Soviet Union against Nazi Germany and its allies.  With 112 scenarios included, Eastern Front is one of the best "bang for the buck" available on the market today.  And in the unlikely event that players get bored with what's included in the box, more than half the supplements available are for Eastern Front!

Road to Berlin focuses on the giant monster tanks that fought in the last few months of the war.  Sinister Forces, Red Warriors, Blue Division, Arctic Front, Edelweiss and Fronte Russo all add elite forces to the Easter Front mix, and Iron Curtain lets the Soviets fight the US with hypothetical scenarios that could have happened if the Cold War turned hot.

Eastern Front is a core game, meaning that everything needed to play is included.  All Panzer Grenadier use the same core rules, so players that master Eastern Front need not learn anything else to play the more expansive games available.

Each unit represents a platoon of infantry, weapons or vehicles.  Each hexagon represents 200 meters of terrain.  Each turn represents 15 minutes of time.  PG features an interactive turn system, so a player may not get to do everything he wants to do before his opponent gets to counter move.

The PG system is vast, with many modules available.  Each module focuses on a particular theme and provide counters, maps and scenarios to play.  There are two types of modules, the core and the supplements.  Core games are complete by themselves, with everything needed to play.  Supplements expand on the core modules, bringing new scenarios and unit types to the game, but require one or more core module to play.
