Description
Fronte Russo is
part of the Panzer Grenadier
tactical game system. It
covers the Italian contribution to the war against Communism.
Although the Italian soldier is much maligned for his performance, the
Italians could and
did fight well when well led. Among their notable successes
includes a
cavalry charge against an armored unit, and winning! Fronte
Russo includes
41 scenarios featuring the Italians, including their history making
charge.
Panzer Grenadier is
an award winning game system
that covers tactical
warfare in World War II. Each unit represents a platoon of infantry,
weapons or
vehicles. Each hexagon represents 200 meters of terrain. Each turn
represents 15 minutes of time. PG features an interactive turn system,
so a player
may not get to do everything he wants to do before his opponent gets to
counter move.
The Panzer
Grenadier system is vast, with many
modules available. Each
module focuses on a particular theme and provide counters, maps and
scenarios
to play. There are two types of modules, the core games and the
supplements. Core games are complete by themselves, with everything
needed to play.
Supplements expand on the core modules, bringing new scenarios and unit
types to
the game, but require one or more core module to play.
Fronte Russo is not
complete by itself. Ownership
of Eastern Front and
Road to Berlin is required to play.
