This Historical Study Module (number 2) focuses on
the British and Canadian efforts to reduce the Reichswald and the land
west of the Rhine River. Unlike other modules, the
goal of this module is to give the players a better understanding of
why the campaign was fought the way it was. A guide that
coveres the entire campaign is included, along with 16 scenarios that
follow the guide.
Each unit represents a squad, crew, leader or
weapon. Each hexagon represents 40 meters of
terrain. Each turn represents 2 minutes of time.
The ASL system is vast, with many modules
available. Each module focuses on a particular theme and
provide counters, maps and scenarios to play.
This item only contains module specific rules and
counters. Players must purchase the ASL Rulebook, Beyond
Valor, and West of Alamien (or its replacement module For King and
Country) to play 5 of the 16
new scenarios. In addition to these modules, maps and
overlays from Hedgerow Hell, Streets of Fire, Code of Bushido, Doomed
Battalions, Gung Ho! and Croix de Guerre, plus boards 4, 5, 11, 19, 43,
49 and 50 are required to
play the remaining 11.
