Description

Operation Avalanche: in 1943, the United States and United Kingdom invaded Italy, taking the first Axis power out of the war. Avalanche was the code name for the U.S. landing at Salerno. The game covers the entire battle, from the landing until British pressure finally gave the Americans relief.

Each game day has four turns, each hex is 2 km of real terrain, and units represent companies and battalions.
