Description

Assyrian Wars covers the reign of the last four kings of Assyria.  It is a point to point game that pits the Assyrian Empire against Egyptian, Median and Babylonian empires, as well as revolts within the empire itself.  Alliances are temporarily, however, as trade and other concerns can make for strange alliances or interfere with seemingly strong ones.

Strategy cards are key to game play, as they provide random abilities that can upset even the most well thought out plans.  Unlike many other games, some cards are automatically given to a player while others are randomly drawn during play.  The game is easy enough to learn that beginners will not feel overwhelmed, but enough intrigue is available to challenge more experienced gamers.
