Fictitious Wars Fortunately, the better side of mankind has prevailed on occasion. Exciting "what if" scenarios are possible, which can range from wars planned but never fought to changes in politics or technology that greatly changed historical events. This also includes battles that took place in fictitious worlds, but using historical technologies. The Great War at Sea games each come with two sets of maps. The operational map allows for the movement of fleets across wide expanses of water. When two fleets come together, the tactical maps are used for individual ship movement. The titles here represent conflicts that occurred just before, during or immediately after World War I, including a hypothetical conflicts that were planned but, thankfully, never happened. Airships at War is a solitaire game that focuses on the days when dirigibles rules the skies. Silent in their approach and untouchable by cannon, they struck fear into the civilian population below. Scenarios include historical and "what if" engagements. Of particular interest in the hypothetical are airship aircraft carriers, where the balloons have planes hanging from trapezes. Could the Japanese been stopped sooner with them? Special rules for non-solitaire play are included. "Great seller, and fast shipping! Highly recommended!
