Napoleonic
The Napoleonic Era has captured much romance both on the battlefield and off. It has the largest followers of miniature gamers of any genre, although many excellent board games exist as well.
The Soldier series includes Soldier Kings and Granada. Each player controls the resources of an entire nation vying for power. No country is neutral, it is just one you have not attacked yet. Units are entire armies or fleets. Leaders help unit performance. Cards are used to give the game a free-wheeling flavor. The map is organized in zones, each with an inherent garrison and resource value. Up to 8 players can play Soldier Emperor. Up to 7 can play Soldier Raj. Soldier Emperor and Soldier Raj can be played alone or together for a truly mega-game.
